It takes 5 minutes, you make 5 calls, and they provide scripts and contact information. Make your voice heard.
POTUS Today: He announced that he will launch a Manufacturing Jobs Initiative, then signed an executive memorandum while at the Pentagon that detailed his plans to invest in a bigger military, including more troops, warships, and a modern nuclear arsenal, “a great rebuilding of the armed services of the United States.” He called the media “the opposition party”.
But most significantly, POTUS issued an executive order that temporarily halts the admission of new refugees to the U.S., imposes a ban on the entry of Syrian refugees, and suspends the entry of Iranian, Syrian, and Sudanese citizens. It may also apply to Libyan, Yemeni, and Somali citizens. The order cuts the number of refugees allowed in the U.S. from 110,000 to 50,000. POTUS claimed that the order is necessary to protect Americans from “radical Islamic terrorists.” The suspension for refugees and entry of Muslim-majority citizens lasts at least 120 and 90 days respectively. The order is incredibly vague, referring to “foreign nationals” and religious minorities” without defining either. However, in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, POTUS said that persecuted Christians will be given priority over other refugees.
